The Answer is No by Fredrik Bachman
A man lives alone, works, orders food in and rarely interacts with the neighbors or outside world, and he likes it that way. One day, someone throws a frying pan out and it causes the building HOA to question everyone. In conversation, he gives them more to question and becomes a hero to them. He is plummeted into the situation without any input. The pan grows to a pile, and tnen larger. He meets neighbors and they team up, slowly he gets incorporated socially where he never saw a need before.
This is a special story with a big message. I got some great quotes and one of them is, ”Do not collect junk in your hearts.”
Although a short story it is imaginative, contemplative, and so much bigger than it seems. I really enjoyed it. I love all of Bachman’s writing! 4/5⭐
